Merciless Mirror

Here is the video for today:

This is part 2 of yesterday’s video.

I didn’t double check his math on the “free” 72 hours a week, but think about that. What are you doing with your spare time? Spending all of your free time in front of the “escape box”? How much of your free time do you spend improving yourself in some way? How many self-improvement books have you read lately? How many times have you exercised lately? Have you spent any time thinking about your goals in life? Think about how much you could accomplish over the years if you just found a way to dedicate 1 of your “free” hours a week towards a goal.

The most interesting part of this one to me was what Earl calls the “merciless mirror”. Our attitude towards the world is reflected back to us exactly how we are. Whatever area in your life you would like to improve your relationship with others, think about what that “merciless mirror” is saying about you and your attitude. If you want your surroundings/situation to change (lose weight, better marriage, more money, have more fun, etc.), you must change yourself and your attitude first.
